The Brotherhood of the Gypsies of the Seville capital ordered the realization of a funerary monument dedicated to the Duchess of Alba at her headquarters in the Temple of the Valley, where the ashes of the one that was the sister of this Brotherhood have rested since her death.<\/p>\n

This work of art is made of white Carrara marble manufactured by Cuellar Stone and molded by Jos\u00e9 Antonio Navarro Arteaga.<\/p>\n

Surrounding this central medallion, a choir of six angels, representing their six children, carry different attributes in their hands: the handkerchief of the Virgen de las Angustias, due to her status as a waitress; the cross and the veil, in reference to the unshakable faith that accompanied him throughout his life; a paint palette, representing his love for the plastic arts; a Giralda, an expression of his deep connection with the city of Seville; a bullfighter's hat, for his well-known fondness for the world of bullfighting; while the last angel on the right side of the oval covers Seville with a cloak whose folds give the set the necessary plastic aesthetics typical of funerary monuments.<\/p>\n

In the lower part, dividing the longitudinal axis, the coat of arms of Los Gitanos appears last.<\/p>\n
